Turkey drama got you down? Canton has your back this Thanksgiving with plenty of ways to enjoy the holiday without spending all day in the kitchen. Whether you want someone else to cook, need a little help with sides, or prefer to gather around someone else’s table, the options are as plentiful as a well-stocked dessert buffet.
Restaurants Rolling Out the Turkey Carpet
Several Canton area spots are opening their doors on Thanksgiving Day 2025, so you can trade your apron for actual quality time with family. Bob Evans keeps things classic with their traditional Thanksgiving spread, and they’re serving it hot and ready on the big day. No cooking, no cleanup, just good food and the people you care about.
Bravo Italian Kitchen takes a different approach by combining traditional turkey dinners with its Italian menu favorites. Think sliced white-meat turkey, homestyle gravy, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, and Italian sausage stuffing, all on the same table. It’s perfect for families who can never agree on what to eat. Their Thanksgiving menu runs from November 24 through November 27, giving you flexibility if your crew celebrates on different days.
Cracker Barrel also joins the party with their one-day-only dine-in menu on Thanksgiving, bringing that homestyle comfort they’re known for. Check with your local Canton location for specific hours and to grab a reservation before tables fill up.
Takeout That Takes the Pressure Off
If you’d rather host at home but skip the cooking marathon, preordered takeout meals are where it’s at. Busch’s offers their Classic Turkey Meal for 2025, featuring a 10 to 12-pound fully cooked Plainville turkey with all the trimmings. You get turkey gravy, cranberry orange relish, potato rolls, and your pick of three homestyle sides. The whole package serves six to eight people for $139.99. Just remember, they need 48 48-hour notice for pickup, so don’t wait until Wednesday to place your order.
Bob Evans also has their Farmhouse Feast available for takeout, but you’ll need to get your order in by November 25, 2025. This is one of those times when procrastination doesn’t pay off. Their meals come hot and ready, or you can get them chilled to reheat at home on your schedule.
Bravo Italian Kitchen is extending its family-style meals (for four to five people) and catering options (for eight to ten people) from November 10 through Thanksgiving Day. Available for pickup or delivery, you can get your feast hot and ready to serve or chilled for later.
Community Tables Open to All
Thanksgiving shouldn’t leave anyone out, and Canton takes that seriously. Open Door Outreach at 4301 S. Lilley Road provides food assistance every Thursday from 4:30 to 7:30 PM. While they operate year-round, they’re especially helpful during the holiday season. You’ll need to call 734-397-1777 extension 201 ahead of time to pre-register.
St. Mary’s Parish in Wayne serves between 200 and 250 families each month, with about 100 from the Canton and Plymouth area. Their outreach program proves that community support is alive and well in this corner of Michigan.
Book It Before It’s Gone
Here’s the part where planning ahead really matters. Most restaurants accepting Thanksgiving reservations get booked up fast, especially for prime dinner hours. If you’re planning to dine out, call your chosen spot now rather than later. For takeout orders, mark those deadlines on your calendar. Busch’s wants 48 hours, Bob Evans cuts off orders on November 25, and other spots have their own timelines.
Early ordering also gives you better chances of getting exactly what you want. Popular side dishes and desserts can sell out, and nobody wants to explain why there’s no stuffing at Thanksgiving dinner.
Make This Year Easier
Canton’s Thanksgiving options let you choose your own adventure this year. Dine out, order in, or lean on community resources. Whatever fits your family’s needs and budget. The goal is good food, good company, and maybe a little less stress than usual. That’s something worth being thankful for.
